Fungi are among the most scientifically interesting organisms on the planet, and most of what they do is still not fully understood.
They wire forests together into networks that share carbon and chemical signals. They break down organic matter in ways nothing else can. They produce compounds that are finding serious applications in medicine, from immunology to neuroscience. And certain species sit at the center of a rapidly growing body of clinical research into how the brain processes experience and emotion.
That intersection of ecology, medicine, and consciousness is what drew me to this. Spore Matrix exists because I wanted a proper source for studying these organisms and found that nothing good existed. So I built it.

Spore Swabs
Microscopy-quality swabs prepared in a sterile lab environment from verified specimens. Packaged for long-term storage and taxonomic reference.
3D Printed Tools
I design and print tools that are useful to the hobby. Selling them helps fund the research side of this project. More designs are on the way.
Research Hardware
Agar plates, grain bags, and lab essentials for serious mycology work. Expanding as we grow.

Spore Matrix ships within the United States only. All products are sold strictly for microscopy, taxonomy, and research purposes. We comply with all applicable federal and state laws and do not ship to jurisdictions where the sale or possession of mushroom spores is prohibited.
We do not ship spore products to the following states: California, Florida, Georgia, and Idaho. Orders placed from these states will be cancelled and refunded. This list is subject to change as laws are updated.
